I remember telling my paternal grandparents they were going to be great grandparents for the first time. I was 20, and it was during the holidays. I wasn't sure how they would take the news as they were devout Catholics. (I wasn't married) I needn't worry as both were over the moon with joy and happiness with the news! I lost my grandparents within 18 months of each other in 2007 and 2009. I miss them so much😢

One of the best lessons I ever learned from my father was to appreciate what you have and cherish it. Have sympathy for those less fortunate and do anything you can to help out. I remember as a child we would be in front of the TV and a UNICEF Commercial would pop up showing homeless children. I remember looking over at my father sitting in his recliner and his eyes were welling up with tears. My father is a mans man. Tough, rugged and stern but he has a heart of pure gold and love for children and would give the shirt off his back without any hesitation. I try every day to be like him to my 2 girls.

My mother was in the delivery room with me when I had my son, her arms were up in the air she going around the room crying it's a boy!And after they cleaned him up, she got hold him. She kept on crying but there was a bond that no one could break that she had for him.. I just wish that when he got older he would have felt the same for her.

In the second clip the dad hugged his own son first then the grandson. Trust me that hug was pretty much more then just a hug. They literally communicated through that hug. 😢❤😅

I've never met any of my grandfather but my maternal grandmother is my everything. She did better parenting to me than my father who has a favorite child lol. I love her so much it makes me so sad when she's getting older.
