This car used to be exported to other countries during the 80s until mid 90s.
Where I grew up (Iraq) my parents had it 1982 model Toyota crown supersaloon color red, and interior was beige. Solid reliable and comfortable car.
I hope they bring it back again, especially here in Canada. 8m sick of those small family SUVs. We need more sedans and sport sedans.

I like this car, but in the States we only get the 2020 TRD Avalon, great car still, but not as luxurious as the Crown Athlete.

This car begges for V35A-FTS {Lexus LS tt V6 engine). And why these idiots have let ES to berry GS alive an cripple iS, without these cars Lexus brand cant have any pride or respect and cars like LS or LC or upcoming LQ will have bad sales. Cars like ES and RX hurt Lexus image, they sell well but they are destroying glorious Lexus cars. I know, they have tt i4 AR in development (good for 350hp) and 650hp ttV8 is coming. Also that V35A has already proven it's reliability, despite it's complexity. So why Lexus sites on their ass, doing nothing?

Also Toyota could make Supra themselves. In the past, Supras were build on chassis from Toyota's business (Chaiser, Mark, Cressida, Aristo) sedans and had engines from them in order to showcase brand's power and pride. The only thing new Supra showcases — Toyotas greasiness and shame.
V35A-FTS could easily be factory tunned to have around 500hp without sacrificing reliability, only fuel economy and remissions. Even now that engine can make 600hp with a simple ECU tune. It would be one hell of a Supra on TNGA-N platform from this Crown, it would have front mid engine layout, just like the Crown. . They also could tune Aisin 10 speed for more sporty behaviour.. And no one would care that it would have v6 instead of i6 as no one cares that original R32 GTR had RB i6 were is modern once have v6es.
I am really glead that this pice of junk has very bad sales and i hope that new Nissan Z will totally outrsell this Toyota badged BMW.
