Awesome video:) . Love watching them. Would be great to see the 7.3 with 4.30's compared to these if you can get your hands on one.

I think your wrong on the Ram gas vs diesel being a stiffer ride. The diesel has much heavier front springs to compensate for the extra weight. I've driven 2500 Hemi Ram's and my sister has a 2500 Cummins. The Ram Cummins she has rides like a lumber wagon compared to a gasser.

I've seen multiple videos saying that guys who added a Pedal Commander think it really "wakes up" the truck, much better throttle response. Bummer you haven't been impressed with it. Regardless, keep it up, loving all the content!

Glad to hear the 6.4 4.10 showed up well. I saw your 3.73 vs 4.10 video. I wonder if you could use this video to compare since the results seemed counterintuitive with the 3.73 faster...

Does the Chevrolet with the 6.6 gas with 10 speed start in second gear like the diesel? Try 0 to 60 in tow/haul and use first gear.

Not surprised by the performance results. But I was surprised to see a Mega Cab Ram with a lower GVWR have a higher payload than the Chevy.

I think the Ford 7.3 is the better gasser overall, but I prefer the reliability of the 8HP trans in the Ram.

I enjoy the subjects that you are doing. My interest in mpg is only when I am towing an RV and have a range of 300-350 miles. It seems like the 10 speed is not that much better than a six speed.

Before I bought either of those two, I absolutely would have test driven the Ford with that 7.3 godzila engine. Otherwise this is another well done video, thanks.

There's no reason for a gas truck to have anything less 4:10 gears.
I wish my ram had 4:56 gears in it.

I love my RAM but the reality is in the low to mid 100k mile range you are likely to have lifter or cam issues.

When is that high country tow test video coming?

That 4:10 was likely the difference in performance, now the mpg, there is no explanation as to why the chevy would be worse. Gearing will easily get you that extra second. It’s all on your start, with a 4:10, it’ll get out of the gate faster, because you’re rpm’s come into the peak range quicker, as you could see in the 0-30 stats. After that, they were the same.

Not sure if the chevrolet comes with a sport mode. Would be cool if the factory offered it too adjust the engine and transmission tune for better performance.

The gearing is the biggest thing ! I had a 2010 Camaro SS LS3 (6 speed manual) and I did a gear change from 3.45 to 3.91, it felt like I gained 100hp !! I pretty much can guarantee if the Chevy had 4.10's like the Ram it would be very similar in 0-60. I don't get why GM doesn't offer it, especially with a 10 speed transmission, with that many gears you can "have your cake and eat it too" with the gear spacing and tall 9 and 10th gear. That 6.4 is no joke though :-)

The coolant temps on the Ram are way to high for just cruising empty.

I understand you don’t have the Chevy anymore but something must be off with it. I have a 24 6.6 gasser and my 0-60 is 7.5-7.8 consistently and on the interstate I get 16-18mpg. I wouldn’t think there would be almost a 3 second difference with 3k feet in elevation difference from where I’m at.

Looking forward when you start towing with the chevy. My understanding is that it's the best towing gas truck right now. We will see what you think ....

I have a 2023 Chevy 2500 with a 6 speed. The best I got is 17mpg
