This brought me back. When I was a young child, my parents worked different shifts. Mom got home at about 4:00 and dad has to leave for work around 2:00. The wonderful neighbor lady would watch me until mom got home. Her thing was to read to me. As a result, I went to kindergarten knowing how to read.

Imagine that when he was five years old because his mother took the time to read to him. He was able to teach himself to read …today in the Chicago school system not one school had any students that could read to grade level…. this occurrence is because when the kids come home, they sit in front of a TV or video game or watching videos like this on the phone all day parents do not interact or take the time to read to them.
