Great story but President Reagan was so much more than a guy who made people laugh. He was a great President and a patriot! He is missed, still.

Reagan recycled that joke at the 1992 Republican National Convention when he made a poor attempt to verbally bash Bill Clinton who compared himself to Thomas Jefferson presidentially. Reagan said “I knew Thomas Jefferson. And Mr. Clinton: you’re no Thomas Jefferson.” That remark of Reagan’s was a takeoff on Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee Lloyd Bentsen’s quip to Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Dan Quayle at the 1988 Vice Presidential Debate: “Senator: I served with Jack Kennedy. I knew Jack Kennedy. Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.”
