African guy here, yes, this is a cultural virtue I’m proud of. Sometimes my best response is, “I have nothing constructive to say” and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Stuff happens, life has its ups and downs, but everything works out eventually. My life motto is, “All is Well”. And don’t worry, self control is a skill. You can develop it. Just don’t open that bottle needlessly, it’ll all be okay.

Good to hear such a good word from this man. He reminds me of two therapists I had in 2016/17 who were both Nigerian. They got me through a very difficult time in my life.

And they, too had very soothing voices. 😊
