I know this was short for a reason, but maybe you could do a longer one comparing this "free" chain with an equivalent paid-for chain - this one definitely sounds pretty rough when soloed - possibly because those plug-ins are free for a reason - but maybe when the vocal is in the mix that really doesn't matter. I'd love to know how much difference the paid-for plugins make to the final result.
