Last segment was so epic and atmospheric like you're flying around in cosmos, chills. Interesting pluggins indeed, thank you for that!

I appreciate the fact you actually take the time to make sure you show us some useful stuff.

First of all thank you for taking the time to produce quality content and not just pushing stuff out because you "need" to. It's really to our benefit and I hope it keeps you from getting stressed or burned out, so you keep up your good work. Secondly thanks for introducing us to things that are great free alternatives or work-arounds to more expensive paid plugins. It means a lot to us who are financially struggling but still have an idea they need to express in their creations. Also it's so nice to watch someone who "gets it" when comes to sound design and composition. Often I'll watch someone reviewing a plugin or showing a technique and they'll say something like "I don't know what you would us this for" or "I don't know why you would want to do that", and I wonder why they are even making the video then, while also seeing things I would want to do and wished they explained it better. You see the possibilities and give clear instructions on how to get there. That is rare on YouTube. Again thank you for everything you do.

Thanks for having this! I already have too many vst's and trimmed down how many I have installed but a couple of these such as the Deelay look nice. FL Studio just came out with a big update that has a multiband delay, haven't updated yet but am looking forward to that as I am fond of delays.
Thanks again.
Peace,
Steve

PaulXStretch is so damn good for pads and ambient, cant get enough of sounds you can make with it only with one sample!

I love these videos and also love not going out of my way to find them. I feel if I just watched all your videos in this series I would hardly use the plugins I take away from them.

But by watching a video once a month when YouTube recommends it, I find new cool plugins and have already gotten used to the other ones you’ve recommended before

I just found your channel yesterday. As a newbie to making synthesizer sound, most of your content is over my head. But, your videos are enticing me to push myself to get a better understanding and command of the tools available to me. Thanks for your clear demonstrations.

Thank you so much, I was going through a dry stretch, and your demos gave me fresh inspiration - going to use Deeelay, Ruina, Gatelab and Filterstep to create an infinitely evolving improvised set

I really appreciate how you still specify when something has Linux compatibility, it’s a little thing that everyone else seems to overlook for some reason. Windows VSTs work flawlessly in my experience so far, but I’m always looking for good *native* Linux plugins.

My favorite free plugins are:

TDR Nova - Multiband compressor that sounds amazing on anything. It's de-esser preset is better than _any_ DAW's built in de-esser.

Slick EQ - Divine sounding EQ. My go to for boosting low end or adding top end air to vocals.

TAL filter - basically "LFO tool" but for free.

Rough Rider 3 - a savage compressor meant for drastic, smashed compression. Perfect for parallel compression.

Vital - Basically "Serum" but for free.

Those Audiomodern plugins sound so magical when they are all used together. Definitely about to be downloading those!

I remember getting a MIDI keyboard a good while back and discovering the "free VST" site. I'm thinking "wow, all of these free recreations of the classics and some newer ideas! Then about a day into it realizing that it's like going to a free buffet with all of this good looking food, but it's all made from the same tasteless non-food compound. I still like to play around with them for fun. As far as free, I use some TAL plugins and I love Cobalt and Surge. Great video man!

Having Paul Stretch working on modern hardware and as a plugin is a god send. Best ambient sound design tool ever.

I must say, I'm learning stuff about how to make music and I usually stick to the basic presets on most VSTs and only screw around with the knobs a little bit to make things sound better. Looking at all those modules in Cardinal was like gaining cosmic insight, I felt like my brain was melting. there's a whole world out there and I might just go nuts trying to make strange sounds. 10/10 breakdown would melt my brain again
