The Disney+ Scammers

VSupport LLC or Clohub run multiple scams including pretending to be support for Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Office and printer support. Their whole operation is laid bare in this video.

The part when Jim was being super stern and calling that idiot out for scamming his "grandfather" gave me the same vibes as when the super nice and friendly teacher expresses their disappointment in how everyone acted and you just feel a mix of sad/nervous 😔 Great job Jim!

As someone from Northern Ireland, I feel profound admiration to see one of my own people doing something so virtuous. And this video in particular shows you can't be verbally destroyed any more thoroughly than in our accent.

I have zero respect for anyone that scams and takes advantage of the elderly.

My grandfather once received a call from a scammer, saying that his grandson just died in a car accident and they needed money for the funeral. This sounds ridiculous to many, as this is never how funerals and contacting family about passed loved ones, but for someone with dementia, it pulls on their emotions and literally messes them up. The scammers said my name to him, mentioned my parents, and my wife, and said just enough to make it sound real.

He thankfully didn't give any money, as he was no longer at the state of mind to handle his finances, and his daughter was the power of attorney taking care of it all, but it still messed up my grandfather for a good while. called my phone, thinking he was calling my brother, and when I said it was me, he kept saying that no, he's dead, I was told he's dead, and I had to do everything to try and calm him down and reassure him that I am myself, and I am not dead. Had to leave work early just to see him in person.

It is so deeply wrong that web advertising services allow scammers to buy ad space for pop-ups, etc. They need to be held accountable for what gets shown as ads on web sites

You can tell he genuinely cares about the victims by his interactions with the scammers. I'm still waiting for the day when his Marvel-style origin story comes out of how his grandfather fell victim to a tech scam and ever since then, he's vowed to dismantle every scam operation. Haha

My 64 year old mom got scammed the other day trying to pay her AT&T bill and she accidentally went to a site that just claimed to connect to her account, but actually just stole $250 from her and tried to get more, but the bank blocked it. I sent her some of your basic videos on avoiding scams and she said you make it so easy for her to understand what to look out for despite her not being very computer literate. So thank you, Jim. Because of you my mom now knows what to look out for and she's much more cautious.

I love the awareness these videos create about potential scams and risks like this. I've gotten these scam phone calls plenty of times in the past.
