Your videos are simply outstanding. I have only one question. While conducting F test, F statistic is usually given by Sa2/Sb2. However, while deriving the pdf of F distribution two independent variables' (with some dof) ratio are considered with χ2 distribution. How do we come to know that σa2 or σb2 follows χ2 distribution? Otherwise, S2/Sb2 ratio cannot be expressed by F statistic.

One question came in SET Exam i will write it here
What is the nature of F test?
A. Essentially a two-tailed test
B. Essentially a one-tailed test
C. One-tailed or two-tailed test depending on the hypothesis to be tested
D. Not a one-tailed test
According to me the answer must be C.i.e. depending on the test, But according to answer key it is B.
Sir if the answer C then I can challenge this question.
Kindly refer me some authentic source to verify this that I can send them as evidence.
