Your review is fair enough but I watched the 4K version a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. From my Blu-ray player (Panasonic DP-UB9000) to my receiver (Onkyo TX-NR686) to my earphones (Sennheiser HD-6XX) and to my projector (JVC DLA-NP5 on a 90" screen), the end result was pretty amazing.

I bought the blu they put out last year. Is the 4k worth the upgrade over that blu? I like this movie but it's a movie I'll only watch every once in a while.

This is one of my favorite movies. I remember my imagination totally captured when I saw it first as a kid. I wanted to buy it, but I'm now worried the 4k degrading the integrity of the cg+practical scenes. Would love a full review.

Im glad it looks good, but the movie is so bad. I remember not liking this as a kid and after rewatching it recently, I am affirmed that it can’t touch well made sci fi films from the 1980s.
