Hookless is fine if you have a personal mechanic setting up your bike for the ride, have matching rims and tires and you are below 70kg. For consumer world too many if's.

You are welcome! Was an important topic to get it straight to the consumer in the Conti S / AS / TT TR project!

Isn't that Crochet not Crotched? 😅

Hookless rims are the biggest cycling scam in 2023. Look at Paris Roubaix...

Please also check what internal rim width is compatible to your tire size! You need to be correct there as well!

What more important is compatibility. Giant have a page of tyres they support. Also inner rim width is an issue with some rims to tyres.

Crotched? That sounds like what happens when you don’t have a compatible tire. 🤔😉

My new Pirelli’s have similar clear markings, showing correct psi, for tubes, tubeless, hookless.

I guess you have to, in order to avoid lawsuits due to ambiguous instructions

I think it’s apparent now none of us want hookless for road. You just shouldn’t need a degree in hookless to work out what’s safe.

Wheels themselves still arnt marked clearly enough especially if you buy a bike with wheels and tyers installed already.

hookless is such a stupid thing on bike wheels.

Hook or hookless doesn't determine ideal tire pressure. If you need more pressure to go faster why get hookless? It's pointless trash.

What's your opinion on hookless rims? Been inbetween the ffwd drift and ryot44

Urgh, that floppy tyre looks awful. It needs some stability and some hooked rims to fit in. Preferably with some tubes at about 90-100psi (25mm wide max).
