The non-verbal "no" is called "the stare"! I grew up having a lot of problems with it. Being able to use it naturally(because of the structure of my face), but not able to live up to the skill to defend the vision that I was givin off had me pay a lof of spiled blood! It's a double edged sword and it is good if not necessary to have especially as males! But if don't know how to swing that blade, will probably cut yourself, or worse you will unleashed it unconciencly, and hurt a lot people!
To help you feel it imagine a lion staring at you, just ready to jump right for your neck... Can you feel it... That's "the state". In psychology is called "murders intent", term coined from the looks of serial killers's faces.
Focused but calm, here but not, feel but hit, wait or attack, and remember there are three things that cannot stay hidden for long... The Sun, The Moon, and the Truth!

Glad I found this video as a great deal of what Ed is discussing we do in the Russian martial arts Systema. It is controling our emotions.

I fought with a guy. Chill dude, just we wanted to fight. The moment he and I squared up I sensed the change in the atmosphere. In the end, it was a 47 second fight where I quit.

I wouldn't exactly call Bujinkan Ninjutsu a functional martial art by any means but it's where I came from initially. However what's being explained here sounds very similar to the concept of "Saki" which in Japanese means the "killer intent". It's the ability to recognize not only when somebody intends to do you harm but also getting in touch with your own saki in order to destroy any threats that exist to harm you or your family. This is very insightful and it gives me new perspective on the killer intent.

I just had deja vu listening to this. I checked the comments to see if I had commented or seen this video before. nope. I've noticed that moments of Deja Vu typically signify moments of transcendental growth and change. pretty sure this speech just gave me the knowledge necessary to be a champion boxer.

Depends on the country, since we usually charge in that country's currency. In USD however, 2012 tickets per person ranged from 450-750. A little bit less if you bought a "bring a friend ticket" and split it. 2014 prices will be like 10-15% higher than this.

I love this channel. You should invite Gary Brodsky to talk. I seriously think that we, as men, are being constantly attacked for wanting to be men.

He did good. For those of us who know, he quoted Uncle Vu a ton.. But thats ok. Vu was a huge impact on me also as he was unmanly.. He did manage to show sings of his own individuality.. So, good for him! I didn't want to enjoy at first.. He copied Vu a lot. But thats is OK too!. But I did. i enjoyed. Good speaker.. . It brought me back!

I wish there was more discussion about how to harness it for other purposes than fighting bc talking and diplomacy gets thrown out the window when someone pushes that button. Just trying to turn it off isn't serving to accomplish your goal when u need to.

what about people with melancholic depression?
who has fully disabled their "positive emotions" and only have the worst possible feelings all the time, and they simply can't control it anymore. how do they trigger it and control it?
