Violent mudslide captured on camera in North Carolina

A fast-moving mudslide was captured on camera Friday as Hurricane Helene made its way inland near Ashevile County, North Carolina

Rescuers are scouring the mountains of western North Carolina for survivors and the dead days after Hurricane Helene’s remnants caused catastrophic damage across the Southeast.

The storm deluged the region. The death toll Tuesday stood at nearly 140 people.

President Joe Biden plans to survey the area Wednesday. Forecasters are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Kirk far offshore. It is expected to become a powerful Atlantic hurricane later this week.

That was a blowout... At around 2.5 3k elev.. its been happening all over the high country from mtn city areas to up in trade lancing all over ..
The mountains are full of water and when a spring pops... It fills up and all the heavy rocks just drop when it all turns to soup and builds pressure and boom...
Ive seen 200 yd diameter ones bulging on route 88 and that area around Roundabout and many other places...
We have to think about these now and winter freeze n thaws up here and the blowouts/ mudslides when that happens...
A pipe can drain them..if caught early..

[5:118] If Thou punish them, lo! they are Thy slaves, and if Thou forgive them (lo! they are Thy slaves). Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, the Wise.

[5:119] Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph.

[5:120] Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein, and He is Able to do all things.
