Big Mama's Sweet Potato Pie

This one comes straight from my Mississippi big mama Maggie. Sweet potatoes are baked until perfectly tender and caramelized then the filling is whipped until smooth with milk, warm spices, and sugar. This is how the South truly makes it. You won’t find none of that imposter Southern mess around these parts.

I went to your site & tried the recipe but it didnt come out the same, the pie filling kept getting lighter everytime i added ingredients like the butter, sugar & milk. The potato's have this beautiful orange color, but adding each made it get lighter & lighter and it didnt look like yours did. Can you help me? Your pie came out such a pretty orange & i want mine the same lol
