“hey babe what for dinner”

I feel like it's good when you get different people to try your food bc you get more opinions and feedback than if it was just one person.

My father gave me some good advice one time.. he said "Son, your mother won't let you go home without taking leftovers. Be kind to her and say yes. Now if on your drive home you toss the food over the side of a bridge, that's your decision. But say yes to your mother right now" ..we have an interesting family dynamic

In India it's common to share food with neighbours. My mom literally cooks extra chicken fry cuz our neighbour's son loves my mom's chicken. Our neighbours are also same.

It's a sad world when people wonder why someone would share food with neighbors. Where I grew up, this was just normal. Everyone shared all the time.

Mom: What's your dream honey?
Me: Become one of Lisa's neighbors 😀

So sad ppl think this is weird, our grandparents probably took great care of their neighbors and made stuff for them all the time. I’m glad my neighbors and I feed each other where I live lol

I love that you feed your neighbors. Some of my best childhood memories are of when our hispanic neighbors would bring us their extra food after the huge parties they would throw, as a thank-you my mom would bring over huge jars of kimchi. This started a food gift giving tradition that went on for years

That’s actually really nice that you like to cook for others. My mom’s the same way and she literally won’t take no for an answer when it comes to feeding you 😂

My neighbours speak Chinese, and I don’t, so I’m besties with their kids who speak English, and the grandparents give us snacks and bake buns for us, and I give them cinnamon buns and bread

The kids and I are like siblings 😅 and they bring us boba for free sometimes, just dropped off some hand me downs to them lol

I don't know why anyone wouldn't feed their neighbors. I always feed the people trapped in my basement!

My neighbour always brings us a piece of cake when she bakes, and my mum often returns the favour. We also visit each other, get her a Mother’s Day gift and she never forgets my birthday. Our neighbour is almost 95 years old and has her own family, but I really appreciate how she treats me like another granddaughter.

In Pakistan you don't even need to be friends with your neighbours, or message them, you're already besties with them and send them food every other day. 😂

I grew up closely with the kids in the neighbor and 20 years later our families still make food for each other and share fruit/veggies from our gardens. It’s such a blessing to have that relationship because a lot of my school friends don’t know their neighbors well.

Damn, I find it so strange how some people can trust/talk to their neighbors. Ngl, I kinda wish I had that.
