American born Pakistani here. It was most likely the water, I think you are in Sindh province specifically close too Karachi based on what I can tell from the surroundings. The Water in our province outside the main river is highly contaminated from what I’ve heard. Most people there boil it and it’s safe for them to drink but not for visitors I used to have to drink mineral water when I was younger but now I can kinda handle local tap water. My dad and grandma say the Water in the Northern Provinces (Punjab, Khyber and Azad Kashmir) is very tasty and fresh.

It's definitely the water or ice. When I go to Mexico I cant do neither or ill get really sick every time. Were just not used to the water. ❤
