That was excellent thanks, there's not enough videos on YouTube on conduit bending for UK trainees this series you are doing is absolutely 100 percent perfect, I didn't know about deducting the 6mm for the saddle which explains a lot keep this stuff coming it's extremely helpful even to us know finally qualified guys 👍

Not sure how it would fair in the AM2S, but for anyone else. A tip for the last cut. If you can get the distance from the end of the coupler. To the back end of your 90 bend, cut it at that + 15mm

Thread it so the end of your conduit is level with the first line of the nut of your stock and dye set (see 12:43 in the video, he’s done it)
that threads the conduit to exactly 15mm (30mm on the 2nd line) Every time, or atleast it has done every time for me since I’ve been using that method after I was shown it on site 4 years ago

Wish this video came in sooner but I passed my AM2S last week yay! The double set has to go into a central heating centre and must be central above the DB, the set I had to make was much lower than the one in this video but I’m sure all training centres are different slightly.

Thanks for the video this will help a lot of students out there for sure !

There are incliniometers available allowing to take guess work out of bending. Great channel and fantastic set of videos. Well done guys.

I've never had a bender in my LIFE that starts at the very edge of the former. It's always a little ways in and to make sure it's repeatable. You mark the ACTUAL start by cutting the edge of the former.
I had a brand new bender one time so I cut a mark where it actually starts to bend too help everyone else out 🙂

I can do that all day long and love steel conduit, I use it lots in houses, I've even got 32mm bender and threaders, great for tails buried in a wall 😆

I passed metal conduit but failed plastic, on retake I had to retake both, felt okay about plastic but metal was so perfect and fit in like a dream! Flush either side but got the result back and I passed plastic and failed metal 😂 appealed it (knowing/them tell me getting a pass is almost impossible at that stage) but got the email to say that my appeal was successful! 🎉🎉🎉

How many goes did you do ? I’d have hidden all that bent conduit in the corner of the video first 😜

Very nice video I would also file the jaw marks of the tube as well, nothing worse than sliding your hand over the tube and slicing hand.
