The 10 Best Places To Live In Florida

Florida is a really diverse place with rich snobby people, rich old people, real Americans and tons of crazies. That’s really it.

No, Florida has a lot more than just that. In today’s video though, we’re going to focus specifically on where the best places in Florida are where you can live. How did we come to this grandiose conclusion? Well, it begins with the places in Florida with the highest home values, where people have great jobs, where schools are top notch, and where crime is lowest.

Sure, there’s gonna be people who say, ‘My city is great, and you didn’t talk about it.’ To that, I’d say, you’re right Florida Man. But, we use statistics. So we’re always going to be right. At least...on paper.

As we’re gonna see, most of these cities we’re going to talk about are on Florida’s coasts.

10. Parkland, Florida. We’re going to begin our tour of Florida’s best places to live in the awesome city of Parkland, in Broward County. Parkland barely qualifies as a city, since it only has about 23,000 people. But, these people are all likely happy to live here. Why?

9. Gulf Breeze. Here in Gulf Breeze, things are...a breeze. At least when it comes to quality of life. I mean who wouldn’t want to live in a place with 6,500 people where there’s hardly any crime and where everyone’s rich?

8. Tequesta. Our next best place to live in Florida brings us to all that is great about Palm Beach County and posh Miami suburbs, Tequesta. This little village began as a country club, believe it or not. There’s only about 5,600 people here.

7. Coral Gables. Of course Coral Gables is on this list. What’s not great about Coral Gables? This is truly a world-class neighborhood. The school system is one of the best in the nation and crime is almost non-existent. Coral Gables is the 5th most expensive place to live in the entire state.

6. Homestead. Alright it’s time for some real MERICA! So far all of these cities have been boring places where the rich people live. Sure, they’re really safe and are really desirable, but come on, Florida is all ‘bout some Merica too.

5. Naples. Naples residents are plain loa-ded. In fact, Naples is sixth-richest city in the country, and it’s home to the second-highest proportion of millionaires per capita in the US.

4. North Palm Beach. We’re gonna go back over to the Atlantic side of Florida again (no surprise) as we pull into the always calm and peaceful village of North Palm Beach.

Here in NPB as the cool kids say, it’s not as wealthy as some of the other communities we talked about, but it’s safer than just about anywhere else. North Palm Beach won an award for being the nation’s best planned community like 100 years ago, and it’s also home to a fancy country club and golf course.

3. Panama City. Alright we’re gonna mix it up one more time and take one more stop in REAL Florida with REAL Mericans. We’re headin’ up to the panhandle to Panama City.

2.
2. Palm Beach. Homes here cost about a million bucks each - which doesn’t make it a good place just because of that one main point. But crime is the 5th lowest in the Sunshine State, and just about everyone graduates high school and has a great job.

1. Key Biscayne. Of course, Key Biscayne is basically just like the other posh, wealthy entitled parts of Florida we talked about earlier. It’s just more of it. It’s just about the safest, wealthiest place in the state.

Our goal is to combine recent data, fun videos, and thoughts about local culture into bite-sized snacks of shareable information. We call it bite-sized regional infotainment. We try to paint a picture of what’s happening in a region based on “Friday Night Science” — how’d you argue at a bar. To do that, we gather data from around the web to help determine a wide array of factors about where you live, things like safety, desirability, and culture.

This is offendedism at its finest. Who's triggered?

From Valley Forge, PA. Moved to FL at 14. 33 yrs I lived in FL. The landscape, underground springs, Gulf of Mexico all fantastic. No other place in the US like it. Winter time and FL is the only state that's above freezing. Houses were inexpensive. Small business ownership opportunities all over. Now? Forget it. It's turned into CA. It's great if you have money. Florida loves it's citizens money. They're pretty creative in the way it's extorted from their citizens although most states do so. It's bad all over.
Can't beat Florida weather and the landscape. Beautiful place.

As a person who was born and raised here I have to say you said everything true about Panama City, we got more restaurants than you can count and there’s even more being built, I’m surprised this is number 3

You gotta remember you have to have money to live in a place with money I grew up in Miami and most people don’t have money to go to college I’d rather go live in a good neighborhood in a big house in Georgia for half the price of a home here

IF you live in Parkland and feel the need to consider it a "north Miami suburb" it cannot possible be top 10 because, on a good day, you are a solid 90 minutes from Miami. Its on the Broward-Palm Beach line and up against the development boundary.

That aerial clip is _not_ of Parkland. Parkland is about 12 miles west of the coast (no ocean or intracoastal). Parkland is technically North(west) of Miami, but it is not a North Miami suburb, nor is Tequesta.

Southwest Florida is a beautiful, and wonderful place to live and work. Its not as bad as people make it out to be. I agree, it is a very diverse state which is what makes Florida so unique. Give it a chance and come visit.
