In my entire 73 years of life, I cannot remember a time when I did not proclaim Clair de Lune my favorite piece of music. Has always been and will always be.
So I thought I had heard every rendition of it ever played. Now you give me this. I am too grateful for words. Thank you!

When I was a kid I used to spend all my holidays in South of France. I remember my mom making the breakfast. As we were eating our breakfast in the early hours of the morning in front of those huge huge huge wheat/corn/sunflower fields in the valley in front of our house she always put this same old kind of classical music in the background.
Delibes. Saint-Saëns. Satie. And Debussy of course. This is what this song reminds me, 30-ish years later. This kinda hurts but it also makes me feel good at the same time.
Merci beaucoup.

it’s amazing when it hits a low note, the rich bass texture with everything else is just breathtaking

I bet debussy would love synths if he ever saw one

It’s like 4, 000 years into the future and most of humanity was wiped out along with our history but somehow the civilization that reigns was able to recover and reconstruct this beautiful piece using their technology. What was left of it was translated to this.

Funny how Claude Debussy been real quiet since you’ve posted this😳

The picked / strummed nature of the sound is incredible. Very akin to a harp at times. Well done

This sounds like something you’d hear in one of those chill RPG games

Man your getting a very organic sound out of that rig. Its like some sort of sci-fi version of a nylon guitar, or maybe a harp. Masterful work.

This is just so ridiculously beautiful sounding. I swear to you I had a speaker that was crackling and your music helped somehow fix the problem. Whoever you are, I love you. I'd love to hear Rhapsody in Blue sequenced through your setup like this.

Omg you have no idea how much I love this!! Tomita (Snowflakes) was my first listen in 1985 - He would have loved this!!!
You're beautiful. Thank you for this

As a pianist that holds this as one of my favourite pieces to play, and as also a rabid synth fanatic... I think this was marvelous. Debussy was arguably the father of impressionism in the musical form, and had a thing for gamelin music so he would have LOVED this version! I've been fumbling around with the question of whether a eurorack rig would be money well spent for me. This goes a long way toward my justification! Don't tell my wife.

This is my favourite video on youtube, I keep coming back to it. So incredibly beautiful, thank you.

right at 2:20, there is an almost brassy sound momentarily that took my breath away. i don't know much about modular synths but that alone makes me want to understand what the heck is going on here (besides the incredible arrangement and rich textures that others have noted)

I think one of the best aspects of this Clair de Lune is the attention to musical expression; I adore the many rubato you give to its passages.

Ann, you've made a stranger weep. Beautiful, what you've done here. Thank you.

There is something oddly congruent between this manner of modular synthesis presentation and the musical impressionism of Debussy.

Some might decry this display, but I think Debussy would have experimented with it.

Bravo.
