Og graphics were also perfect, the purple ish colours during night and the vibrant colours made the game pop. The game just hurts my eyes now. It’s so bright

I know some people are scared, but I think this is genuinely a great idea

We’ll have 3 ways to play battle royale: Modern Fortnite, Classic Fortnite, and Fortnite Reload. If you get bored of one, you can go play another. The player base won’t really be split here, but added upon due to the amount of players returning to the game. That could even get more eyes on the newer seasons, too. I don’t think they’d try and pull this off if they knew they couldn’t do it, that’s probably why they asked about Fortnite OG so much in the surveys. Genuinely so smart of them to do this

Reload has a primarily competitive focused audience because of its faster pace (this is why ranked reload is always above unranked, unlike with br) so I don't see reload going anywhere.

I don’t really see Fortnite removing Reload as it’s a smaller but more fast paced map. Time will tell but I can see more players returning long-term. If people feel like they’ll get bored of the OG mode, they can just play the other modes. Nobody is forcing anyone to play something specific

Ngl I think they’re doing this because they know that people will always complain about the new stuff whether it is good or not. And man I miss Imposter so much. I still have no idea why they had to remove it.

It’s a shame how badly Fortnite fell of after chapter 1 and 2 in my opinion it was the last fun I had playing the game after that it just felt like it was trying to compete with games like cod and apex changing the movement completely the just the whole feel of the game and lost its own unique style haven’t played Fortnite properly since chapter 2

I really hope this stops people complaining about new Chapters being bad when they aren’t. I love all Chapters of Fortnite but I prefer the look and feel of Chapter 4 & 5 personally. Since Chapter 1 is getting its very own mode, maybe those people who love Chapter 1 will be more inclined to play, while the new features and maps continue to thrive in Chapter 6. I see this as a win on both sides!

the “people might get bored” argument is the same for other modes like battle royale. if someone doesn’t wanna play battle royale they’ll play OG or something else, same goes if you don’t wanna play OG. This is just giving people more ways to play and will not kill the game whatsoever. people over exaggerate that.

I think this will be good for the game, it gives people something to play when the main season isn't to their liking or if they really want to go back to the old seasons without having to wait a whole year. I think this gives them more room to work with current seasons of Fortnite going outside the Fortnite box people have wrapped their heads around since release. Excited to see how this is going to be revealed, I assume this means the finale live event later is going to have something to do with the Big Bang's Multiversal stuff, or at least will take us through the "world" or something.
With the "stale" worry I could see them bringing back or slightly changing some stuff like maybe reintroducing the Thanos Gauntlet or some festive/seasonal events, but I think this is mainly going to be the game mode people play when the main mode isn't for them or they want to go back and play a few round of the old game. It's staleness is gonna be reliant on how the main game is perceived on a consistent basis.

Literally fortnite answered my prays I wanted fortnite og back and was sad it was gone but Fortnite is a goat for listening to the players

OG wasn't just nostalgia, but it does play a large part. I think a lot of people are forgetting all the negativity within and outside the community during Chapter 1. So many people were ready to jump ship towards later seasons. The limited time it came back is also probably why player counts were so high. It being good is also why people came back to it.
OG is good and all, but Season OG wasn't OG fortnite. It was modern Fortnite gameplay on the original map with some elements of the old gameplay.

While I don't believe it's gonna kill the main BR mode (since people are probably also gonna be interested in seeing new stuff) Reload might actually crumble. Sure it's still vastly different, but I believe most people play because they wanted OG stuff and with an actual OG mode, that might take the players away

As cool as this is I really hope they do the same with Chapter 2, I liked playing the OG season but for me I got bored very quickly and there was just no substance to me whereas I found more with Chapter 2

Also having another BR map to choose from outside of Reload will give players another option if they ain’t feeling the current map and chapter, in no way do I think this will outshine Chapter 6 just because there’s only so much of the original gameplay you can play through until you start getting bored

And speaking of modes they could take away, Reload is pretty much a better version of team rumble so taking that and Rocket Racing out I don’t think people would be too upset about
