If you think you're trans, think again. Then think again. Talk to a professional. Talk to a loved one. Then think even more. Transitioning is a serious life-altering situation, and it should never be taken lightly. If you are confused or depressed because you feel you might be trans, you need to make sure that transitioning is truly what is best for you, because the mental anguish you feel now will be even worse if you transition and realize you made a huge mistake.

How does Elliot manage to make joy look like something to be avoided at all costs?

Eliot always looks so distressed. If that's joy, I don't want it

I’m a psych nurse, 99% of our “trans” patients have a slew of psych conditions along with cutting and multiple SA’s. I can not affirm the transition of a child ever. I’ve seen what happens to teens who’s parents have allowed this and they are destroyed as adults

Elliot is one of those people that ever since they transitioned they only look sad and traumatized.

In my humble opinion, as a therapist, I see a person who has trauma based in sexual abuse, who had a therapist who guided this transition before working through the trauma FIRST. Maybe the transition would still have been necessary, but the trauma was not addressed. Before a life changing decision, you MUST work out the trauma and why it may effect your decisions. IMO.

I went to high school in Halifax, Nova Scotia with Ellen Page. She was bright, full of life, and brought genuine joy to those around her. We shared several classes together, including drama, and while we weren’t best friends, we were part of the same close-knit circle and spent a meaningful part of our early years together.

When Juno was released, it felt like a collective moment of pride for Halifax..
seeing someone we knew shine so brightly on the world stage. Ellen carried herself with a spark that many of us remember vividly.

Today, watching Elliot Page in the public eye, I can’t help but feel a deep sadness. There’s a weight in his expression that I never saw in Ellen growing up. It’s difficult to reconcile the person we once knew with the person we see now..not out of judgment, but from a place of loss and heartfelt concern.

I want to be clear: referring to “her” is not meant to be dismissive. It’s simply the only version I ever knew during that formative time in our lives. For many of us who grew up alongside Ellen, it’s a complex emotional landscape..honoring someone’s identity while still grieving the absence of the person we once shared memories with.

I miss Ellen. I think many of us who knew her do. This reflection isn’t meant to take anything away from Elliot’s journey..only to honor the past and the deep sense of connection we felt to someone who once lit up the halls of our youth.

This is so obviously a distressed girl who couldn’t deal with her mental health in a constructive way. It’s absolutely heart breaking.

If a kid can't sign a contract prior to turning 18, due to cognitive function/development, how can our society still say this makes sense?

Thank you for speaking out against this, as a member of the medical community I believe anyone who participates in transitioning children should loose their medical license. I’m just glad I live in a state that has strict laws that protect children. I think it’s all about power for the groups and money for the drug companies.

She looks so sad and unwell. Both physically and mentally. I actually feel sorry for her. I hope she finds peace and happiness.

I hate what they're doing to her. She's CLEARLY NOT happy! It's heartbreaking. Those aren't tears of joy. Those are tears of someone who is completely lost and broken

"Being able to touch my chest." While physically unable to touch her chest while she holds back tears. Extremely telling.

She is a great actor. How is she not able to sell to anyone that she is genuinely happy as a man?

If HRT is so safe then why are millions of natural born women denied hormones during menopause? Or to balance PCOS? We're told the risk of heart disease/attack from HRT is not worth it so doctors will not prescribe it even though it could bring massive relief for these women. But young children/adults are giving these meds with zero hesitation.

Buck, you are right. As a Gay man who is only six years younger than you I want children to be able to discover who they are after puberty.

Every time I see a video of an interview with Ellen before the transition she looks normal and happy, then Elliot here looks mortified, traumatized and incredibly unhappy whilst saying how happy he is - actions speak louder than words here.

I see a child star who was sexualized, which resulted in self-loathing. I feel deeply for (dead) Ellen as much as I feel for (empty) Eliot. Either way, this person is not in his/her final stage, I feel.

Im so glad i grew up in the early 60's. From the time i could walk/talk, I wanted to be a boy. I hated anything girly. I wore boys clothes, played with the boys and boys toys. All this to my mother's dismay. When I hit puberty, I became all girl.

I am a fairly new subscriber, and i just wanted to say thank you for wht you do and are attempting to do, its so easy for the children of the world to be influenced and hearing speeches like the one Elliot was giving could be the turning point for some easily influenced children, they dont need anymore reason to become disillusioned with their lives and this world. Everyone should have a voice coming from someone like you, you are wise and it shows and i just wanted to say i appreciate you and the work you are doing. Peace and love ❤

My gut is Ellen was sexually abused, and just wanted out of her skin; and transition did not make him happy! Hurts my heart.
