Thank you for this information. Phenytoin can cause gums and other connective tissue to grow profusely! I had multiple gingivectomies while taking Phenytoin. Fortunately this began a lifelong habit of vigorous flossing.
Despite stress being a trigger for my seizures, my dentist and I were always surprised that I never had a seizure at his office.

My son has Down Syndrome and a heart defect with a pacemaker so he has to take an antibiotic before seeing a dentist. He was also diagnosed recently with epilepsy. I didn’t even think about that triggering his seizures. I’m getting more information from you than his actual neurologist 🙁 Can you please do a video about people with heart problems and seizures!

Does this apply to all types seizures? I have focal seizures, they probably wouldn’t even notice that I was having a seizure. I don’t think I will be affected that much 🤷‍♀️
