It’s no longer news that Meagan Good and her husband Devon Franklin are getting a divorce after nine years of marriage. This is surprising because, well, they just seemed to be really in love and everyone thought they had the perfect marriage. Their love story was one of those things that you hear and you just hope that it lasts forever, you know? But just when we thought that their marriage wasn't like other celebrity marriages that just last for about a minute, Devon and Meagan proved us all wrong and it looks like Mr. Franklin isn't handling their divorce that well, in fact it feels like he is in a pretty messy state.

I just want to clarify that Devon Franklin is not a pastor, he's a preacher. In The Seventh-Day Adventist Faith which both Devon and Megan are a part of, there is a distinction between pastors and preachers. Pastors have churches while preachers visit different churches and give occasional sermons. Back when I was a Seventh-Day Adventist, he preached at my old home church so that's how I know.

I just read his book and it is life changing. He married a woman who hadn’t gotten her life right with God, yet, used God to lure him in and sadly, he fell for it. His book speaks to how he did his inner work and sacrificed a lot to be a better man and a better husband to a woman who wasn’t willing to sacrifice anything for him, including a very disrespectful scene in Harlem. Once he chose to compromise his personal and godly principles such as the drinking, smoking, and having kids, thy were done.

It is sad when two lovers breakup. Although, sometimes breakup is good too so they can work on themselves especially those deep childhood wounds that’s not yet resolved or healed properly.

Chile he worried about what everybody saying period. He had over 4 months to deal with this. Now that everybody knows about it he displaying antics?! Let's not forget HE is the one who initiated the divorce. HE is even the one who confirmed it to the media. SHE changed many things about her lifestyle in the name of love. What changed about his lifestyle? So clearly she loved him. And if the church was criticizing her while they were married I'm sure they criticizing her now and saying I told you so!
