I love how everyone was freaking out!!!! This was so cool

This video is SO COOL! Not only did you catch totality, but you also caught the excitement of the crowd of observers, WOW! We went to far southwest NC to see the same event, but unfortunately we all were skunked at about five minutes before totality, when a heavy cloud bank moved in. We are getting another chance on 4/8/24, heading to central TX for this one. Hope it's as great an event as you illustrated here. Thank you! :)

Thank you for posting this. We came down from Missoula, MT to be in the path. We wound up being in this park just by chance and the experience couldn't have been better.

It's hard to describe the excitement of experiencing this through the eyes of my kids. This video helps bring it all back.

Very nice footage...I expected to be around lots a people at Sage Junction, but instead there was lots of desert space between viewers so we had the serenity effect with the sound of the crowds off in the distance, it was awesome. 2 min 33 sec it was short but I'm grateful to even have been there. Traveled all the way from SD to view it with my son.

You can see Regulus twinkling to the left of the sun and moon.

Great and beautiful video. I am surprised more people haven't commented on the objects flying away from the moon just after the moon breaks away from the sun. I wonder what those are?

The twinkling object to the left of the eclipsed sun is the first magnitude star Regulus, of Alpha Leonis.

My question will be ... what is keeping the moon hanging there after the moon has fully eclipsed???. What magical force is that???.

At minute 3:23 after totality I noticed that the Moon never moves from center of the Sun, I bright light appears and covers the whole Moon. If that was really the Moon then it would have blocked the sun light on the left. The Moon never moved so how can this be real?
