History of (RED) Apple Products

If you’ve been an Apple user for a while, you might already be familiar with the Product Red brand. Because Apple first partnered with them back in 2006 when Apple released the special edition Product Red iPod nano. But you may not know all of the details behind it. In fact, many people don’t even realize Product Red is a separate company from Apple. I remember back when I was in 5th or 6th grade (I'm in 12th now) everyone got iPads so we could do our school work and get our textbooks on them, well one day everyone in the entire school ended up getting an album by U2 downloaded to their iPad. No one payed for it. It just showed up and no one knew where it came from. It makes a lot more sense now.

“Product Red” is a commercial venture…not a philanthropic venture. Its a traditional product positioning play…Use the power of big brands to market product…the big brands get good press for having the product, since it is marketed as philanthropy, and they expect to broaden their customer base while appearing to do something “beneficial” for the world.

Product red is a beautiful colour on any iPhone. The message is something needed in this day and age. I owned the product red iPod nano and the iPhone product red 8plus is something so that looks godly to me. It helps a community and it looks amazing! So why not !

As a consumer, I don’t care if they donate much towards the product red campaign or even not
I just believe that the product red iPhones costs the same as normal ones and they really look spectacular
Plus it gives me a feeling that I’m doing something for the charity as well by buying a product red iPhone
