Hi everyone, welcome to my attempt at The Three Musketeers Book Tag, which was created by the lovely Beki at Teacup the Storyteller.

I was tagged by Beki at Teacup the Storyteller, this is her own original tag:

I also talked about the books I got in the Booktube spin #5. Number 8 and number 13 were the picks. Please comment and let me know your tag answers or whether you've read either of my spin picks. Thanks for watching.

I tagged:

Books mentioned:
The Mystery of the Blue Train by Agatha Christie
Bleak House by Charles Dickens
The Signalman by Charles Dickens
The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper
The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman
Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery
The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
Emma by Jane Austen
The Mousetrap and Selected Plays by Agatha Christie
Murder Isn't Easy by Carla Valentine

TV show mentioned:
Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds.

Prompts of The Three Musketeers Book Tag:
1. Alexandre Dumas was born in the 19th Century. Do you have a favourite time period to read about? If yes, what do you like about it?
2. Alexandre Dumas was born in France. Is there a French author whose book you´d recommend?
3. Alexandre Dumas often based his novels on real events and historical figures. Is there a person from the past - artists/politicians/simply anyone, you would like to meet?
4. Alexandre Dumas wrote some pretty chunky books. For example, The Count of Monte Cristo is almost over 1000 pages. As oppose to his son, Alexandre Dumas Jr. whose only book The Lady of the Camellias is less than 180 pages. What is the longest and shortest book you´ve read?
5. I don´t think there is a video in which I wouldn´t mention my favourite book – The Three Musketeers. Is there a book you want everyone to know about? It can be your favourite book of all time or some recent read you´d recommend to other people!
6. One of the most famous quotes in literature “All for one, one for all” cames from the pen of Alexandre Dumas. Do you keep a track of your favourite quotes when reading? Do you have at least one quote you´d like to share? Which book does it come from?
7. The Three Musketeers is a book of a strong friendship and allegiance. Do you have a favourite fictional friendship?
8. The Three Musketeers is a story with strong female characters, who are brave, fearless, yet gentle and loving. However, some of them prove to be true evil. Do you have a favourite female fictional character? Who is it and why?
9. There are more than 50 film adaptations of The Three Musketeers. Is there a film adaptation that you enjoyed more than actual book? (Doesn´t have to be one of Dumas´ books, just any book you´ve read and its film adaptation.)
10. I own three different editions of Three Musketeers. Is there a book you own more than one edition of?
11. Have you read The Three Musketeers or any other book by Alexander Dumas? If yes, which one?
12. And finally, tag some friends to do this tag!

"It's like in the great stories Mr Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened but in the end it's just a passing thing, this shadow, even darkness must pass a new day will come and when it does the sun will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were to small to understand why" That is probably my favourite quote of all time. To me it's just such a profound statement of hope that really speaks to me. Okay no I never watched Dogtanian but that sounds hilarious. Why did I never hear of that? I would have loved it haha.

Yes, Victorian era and early 20th century are the best eras! I think all of my favorite classics came out in one of those two eras. I remember reading at least one book in the Dark is Rising series, but it was probably when I was 11 or so. I remember nothing about it, but now that you reminded me of their existence, I want to read the entire series!

Barking the theme tune now. Keep plugging The Dark is Rising, it’s fantastic and I can’t believe I’ve never found anyone who has read it. I read them again recently and was truly frightened by the atmosphere and tension. So so good.

Great answers to the tag! I’m hoping to film mine at the weekend. Little Women is a great answer for the adaptation prompt; I enjoyed the book a lot, but both film adaptations are brilliant! 😊📚

I've Read Over Sea Under Stone but then never went back to the rest of the series. I do want to get back to it!

Yay thanks for the tag! I’ve just seen you’ve hit 500 subs too - congratulations 🥳 Impressed that you have read books in another language - I only managed GCSE level French! Also have never read any Dumas. I am definitely going to get to the Susan Cooper series at some point - it’s a series I’ve always meant to read. I also now have the Muskahounds theme tune stuck in my head! 😂Such a great cartoon!

Love this sweetie and you are the second person to tag me in it so I best get to it. Yes I know Agatha Christie is your favourite author and I need to start on her 💛😊

A couple of French crime writers you might like are Michel Bussi and Pierre Lemaitre (I am going to do a video soon recommending crime fiction in translation and they will both get a mention 😉)

I now have the Dogtanian theme tune in my head 😂😂😂

That cartoon looks adorable.... I'll have to look for it. The longest book I have is one I've started recently called "A Suitable Boy" by Vikram Seth and it is 1, 500 or so pages (Help
