HI -I have a cleaning business and set up my profile as a service area business. Google is now asking for a video verification. In the video instructions, they are asking for a video verifying “location, equipment, and proof of management”. I do not have a storefront, which is why I selected service area business, so why are they asking for location verification in the video?

Great video! I have a question about service area for people that are hair stylists. GBP asks for a service area, but if you do not do that, you only work at one facility, how do you set that up? Right now, GBP is pretty unfair to people that rent booths/chairs as stylists not allowing them to place an address in the ONLY place they do their work. Do you offer a workaround for this?

Ok so before this new update I use to get a much of calls around all different types of service areas. Now with the new update only business that have address are showing up. For example I put pool cleaning and only people with address showing up are popping up and my business isn’t. Any suggestions

Hi. Tori. Thanks for taking the time to produce such helpful content.
A local Chamber of Commerce has a Google Business Profile that was created by a marketing / media agency with which they no longer have an amicable relationship. The agency will not respond to emails or phone calls. The GBP has inaccurate and outdated information. Is there any way to have that profile deleted and create a new one. I think if they create a new one without deletion of the old one it would be detrimental. The Chamber also does not have ownership of the domain / website that is appearing in the outdated GBP.
A few people have clicked on the listed website and have stated that it led them to a malicious website. They are in the process of developing a new website with a new domain.
And finally, if you don’t mind, I would like to ask one other question. This Chamber of Commerce has no physical address. Can they create a service area GBP?

Okay torri what if I don't have a fiscal store address and only operate my business from my home??, like many e-commerce businesses we dropshipp products from our suppliers, so how do I get around this requirement??, I don't have a service area as i serve the entire country?

We have a local service business and have been located in the same city for over 36 years - we show up number one for our city in Google Maps but not in the adjacent cities. There are approximately 7 other cities and nothing in our service area is more than 50 minutes from our office. Our current Google My Business account uses our company name, address and phone number and was set up the ususal way a few years ago. If we set a Google service area profile does it in any way affect our current Business profile?

Can I still have a Service Area business if the service area is about 100 mile away from where I live? So, essentially I would use my home address for address for google verification but where I send my work out to and do business from is not near where I live we use sub-contractors and its like I said 100 or so miles from me. Additionally, would it be easier just to register with a mailing address more near the actual area that I do business in?

Thanks for the video Torie... on the topic of keyword stuffing, we started a business called "Tucson Window Cleaners" and our profile was immediately suspended, we appealed and provided documentation just to have our appeal denied. What now? We have no way for our clients to find us. Thanks for any assistance you can provide
