Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 the BEST new midsize truck to buy?

FIRST LOOK: The Colorado FINALLY receives a redesign for Chevrolet. This truck competes with the Nissan Frontier, Ford Ranger, GMC Canyon, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Maverick, Hyundai Santa Cruz and Honda Ridgeline. On the outside you will find all new sheetmetal, 20in wheels, and LED headlights. On the inside there is a new infotainment system, digital gauge cluster, and materials. Under the hood is a 2.7L turbocharged inline-4 that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 the BEST new midsize truck to buy?

I love the design. I wish they would bring back an SUV version on this platform for those of us who think the Tahoe is too big for our needs or won't fit in the garage, but prefer body on frame over FWD unibody.

I have always hated the Colorado. My dad bought one back when they first released and I hated the way it drove and wasn't a fan of the styling. The newer models are a little nicer, but kind of look like a toy. But this redesign looks incredible. Chevy nailed the styling. It looks alot like the Silverado, but just enough different to not be a copy. Chevy has been killing it with all of their interiors recently. They have an incredible looking infotainment and guage cluster. The infotainment on my 23 Blazer is great. It doesn't have the same updated look as the newest redesigns, but it just works. I have read so many complaints about freezing, slowness, random disconnects, etc from other brands. I haven't had a single hiccup in the 5 months I have had my Blazer. It is rock solid stable and quick. The backup camera is also great. I have never driven a vehicle that has as much precision when backing in.

Pricing has been out for 2 months for the new Colorado. I ordered a new z71 back in November. Already built just waiting to be shipped. FYI the Z71 is the 2nd highest trim just below the ZR2. The trail boss is based off the WT trim and a lot of options are not even available on the trail boss.

I fell in love with the new Colorado and the Canyon at the State Fair of Texas auto show last year. The black mirror caps are cool. Love how the interior is designed the red stitching the instrument panel is clean and simple. I'd definitely consider this and the GMC Canyon over a Santa Cruz, Maverick, Ranger, even a Nissan Frontier and the Tacoma. Thank you Joe and Lori for bringing us this great content!👍👍

I priced out that exact Colorado yesterday online. Z71 Radiant Red Paint Tintcoat 4x4, almost all the options, upgraded motor. $46, 855. Also priced out a 2023 Silverado RST crew cab 4x4 standard box, with most options. It was $65, 505. The Colorado is looking pretty good. Nice video as always.

We had a 21 ford ranger that we absolutely loved. Had a car accident and replaced with a 23 Chevy Colorado. We have put 2700 miles on it in a couple months. It is so smooth. Great truck. We got it in sterling gray metallic. Looks sharp, drives awesome.

Hey Joe, I'm really digging the direction that Chevy went in with the redesign. I do like it a tad more than the GMC Canyon believe it or not. I hope the media drive for both those trucks are coming soon Joe. We just has to see what card Toyota plays with the Tacoma.

I like the Chevy Colorado. What surprises me is GM couldn’t get as good of Gas Milage as the Ford Ranger.
