If you searched for a synopsis of Sergio Perez’s season, you would just get a summary of his 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. He made Q3 but still got beaten by a Sauber. Then on lap one was up three places in one turn, then by turn six he’d lost two of those before the Sauber who beat him in Q3 spun him around and ended his race. It was a poor performance from the Mexican driver which was made worse by some very bad fortune. And to top it all off his teammate pulled a 360 at turn one, sat still in the pits for ten seconds, and still managed to come back to finish sixth. For the first time, Perez has finally admitted that this might be the end of his time at Red Bull and today, I’ll check it out, so don’t go anywhere.

Wish RedBull would put Botas in the car for a year. Let Yuki and Lawson battle it out and give a 2 year contract to the winner during the mid break. Unless Botas is “that good” and stays.

Why Perez was offered a contract till 2025 is totally beyond me. RB need get rid of Perez, at whatever cost.

Last Call, Checo. You dont have to go home but you cant stay here.

I didn’t understand why Redbull resigned Perez. While his ( Perez’s ) performance wasn’t as bad last year, Redbulls standing in the constructors championship for the last two season are solely due to Max

They should have hired Carlos and put some pressure on Max. But I don't think Max wanted the competition

Big difference between lawson & tsunoda, is that lawson has like 12gp under his belt... Yuki has like 4 years in the sport.

The gao in quali hasn't been that big, the gap in races has fluctuated because of variables including battles on track, or just poor strategy from the team.

The fact is, yuki did do a better job. However, lawson has more room to improve. That's why lawson is the #1 contender for the redbull seat.

Yes we are getting rid of Dutch GP which is great to watch, yet we keep Monaco which is boring to watch

I’d take botas he’s worked along side big names before and has proven he can perform in a great car. He also holds a speed record for fastest in a race at 234 mph. Give him a shot

Well, as far as I understand it, Perez has a 1+1 contract starting in 2025.
One year fixed and the second year can be terminated by either side. Without knowing Perez's contract, I'm (almost) sure that there is also a performance clause included. Everyone can have a bad day, but Perez just has too many bad days.
But... we also don't know if the existing contract (ending in 2024) has a performance clause. In that case, the 'new' contract could be challenged by Red Bull.

Unwanted and underperforming. Checo is entering Stroll territory, which is a pathetic way to end your career.

Anybody who repeats the word "contract" five times in a short statement has already had their contract undermined without their knowledge.

It’s better to leave rather than get sacked.

Put yuki in! Give him one full season, no caveats. hes given his career to the academy and shown a lot of growth everywhere he's been critiqued over the years.

Yuki beats another teammate and still gets disrespected by redbull he needs to look for a new team.

Wasn't there a performance clause in Perez contract? Didn't he need to finish the season not lower than 5 places behind Verstappen?
But if the Mexican has a little bit of pride and self-respect, he won't want to stay in a team that clearly don't want him anymore. So I suppose he's trying to strike the most advantageous bargain possible before he leaves.
PS : "Lying journalists, lying medias"? If Perez Sr was American, I know who he would have voted for...

Lawson obviously has more potential tha Tsunoda

We need less races and more cars. There needs to be a work/lifestyle balance that hasn't been in F1 for a long time. Max has stated he may walk away due to this problem and it needs to be addressed for all who work in an F1 team.

get rid of him, he's a liability red bull can't afford.

Red Bull are hoping that he will fall on his own sword rather than be pushed.
