The one knife I have been waiting for from Spyderco to be released, is the Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in Tanto blade. Only seen it once on last years blade show video, believe it was Bladehq video with Eric. He had a prototype of it. Looked amazing and been waiting for it since. As for your coming soon knives videos, believe they are a good idea so more people are aware of what’s coming out in soon. Know I always hate when you get a knife and then few days later you see a new knife was released and you would rather had gotten that instead. Know I only get a new knife once every few months, sometimes longer unfortunately, but family with 5 kids come before my hobbies and pretty sure a lot of other people have same issue. Family first, hobbies far below were you would like it on that getting list. So knowing what’s coming in a week or month can be extremely helpful.

That odium was teased almost 9 months ago and was said to be released (I think it’s a Ferrum forge design but I’m not sure why they didn’t mention it ) and it was supposed to come out for Christmas... then there was the pandemic — and I bet it won’t come for a few more months. The mastiff looks way different now too. I used to love it ... but I’m not sure who they talked to about Changes because it went in a different direction completely from what I remember. That cleaver looks like a flatiron with slightly more dramatic shaping imho. Wish I could get excited about Spyderco, but after the second price gouge and then the third, with no raise in product quality, but definite rise in price more than twice in one year. I’m over it at that price and at that kind of business model. I’m not into that at all personally. That’s a business move and a money grab in my eyes. And A lot of people think his name is Ben banters but that’s the term they say about him — he “talks” and “banters” about knives because he started out as a reviewer before crkt I heard. But his real name is actually Ben Peterson. I used to wonder who this Ben Peterson that liked all my blade HQ lamenting was, until I realized its Ben from blade HQ lol. His new poster is the shit too. Great guy with a lot of knowledge — humble knowledge. After he made knjfe banter, I kept calling blade banters channel “knife banter” and I kept telling him that that’s why I never knew BB existed. I thought that people were always talking about Ben banters’ “knife banter” on blade hq’s channel. There was also banter247 and he was known for knife testing and for his eclectic collection. They were all one giant person to me a few years ago lol. I saw a wayfarer247, on banter247 while he talked about blade banter, and I thought it was all about Ben the entire time (this is a true story— we need to get “knife” and “banter” out of the names if you don’t want to be confused for a much more well known channel imho. I think if I start a channel it will be named 247 banters knife, and I could survive solely off of the mistaken hits lol. Or we need to start color coding things with the same names because it makes me feel really old and I’m only 34.

Take a closer look at the Black Void Opus. Justin Lundquist design, chisel grind, front flipper. There are some pictures online of the all black model and looks pretty cool.

Love both videos styles and the different aspects they cover... Great idea, add the coming soon into the rotation which can still be added to the recommended list when they are released and then handled. I’ve been holding my breath til I was almost Ben Blu waiting on the Ben Banter no pun... and the Odium, ever since I’ve seen you with it (prototype) and I’m assuming I will never find an Arch Bishop 2.0 up for grabs and it’s nice to see other options I’ve yet to discover!! I like the MKM & Zieba collab. I have a Zeiba MS3 damasteel, it's probably my favorite gentleman's carry. Action is snappy as hell, fits nicely, with a classy look. May have to pick up the dagger

Rex45 is the way to go at that upper sub $200 price range. After that, although rare, look for CPM-10V on eBay.

I like a mix like this. Knowing what you are looking at on the horizon is interesting. Only BladeHQ is a bit off. Leveraging connections in the industry to bring things like customs coming out, smaller makers, and the things that are more difficult for people with less time to dedicate to the search and viewing is ridiculously helpful, and really what I look for in online content, a way to leverage my time and capabilities when looking at stuff. Giving the viewer a way to experience, even vicariously, the sort of little-known or hard-to-find things that your rather unique position allows, is something that would engage me more, even on a weekly/monthly basis of "stuff you probably didn't know was this cool that is coming out and is affordable" helps me to leverage my time

I'm sorry, but BladeHQ's email system just sucks. I have signed up for various things in the past and each and every time I get my email stating that the knife I want is available comes in HOURS after the knife goes on sale. In some cases, it was the next day. I've never gotten one that came to me at the same time the knife went live on the site.
