The not-in-common-use excuse as applied to machine guns is circular logic. The government restricts an item, then says it's not in common use and, as such, they can restrict it. This is absurd! The ONLY reason machine guns wouldn't be in common use (if they're not) is BECAUSE the government restricted them in the first place. Then they use that reason to keep restricting them. It's complete BS.
