Even more confusing / inconsistent is how that "entity" names itself in various international scenes, especially in sports. In political international relations, it's United Kingdom. In (mostly) individual sporting events like in the Olympics, they compete together as Great Britain. In (mostly) team sports like World Cup, rugby, cricket, England, Scotland and Wales compete separately.

What are the "rules" that determine whether they compete together as Great Britain, or as separate England/Scotland/Wales, in sports?

Here's a fun fact you could have added to your video.

In the Southwest of Great Britain is a county named Cornwall. At its tip is Lands End. With that 'migration' to Northern France you mentioned, came Princes of Cornwall, who created an independent principality, which is today known as Cornouaille, at the tip of which is Finisterre (The Latin for Lands End).

There's a Great Island near Cork City in Ireland. It's home to the town of Cobh, the final port of call for the Titanic.

There's also one in County Wexford near Waterford City.
