Thanks for this! I would never buy louvers for my Z because I knew how shitty keeping them on glass was. This is a great idea, I ordered mine after seeing this, for both the rear windshield and rear side louvers. I will suggest that people use a liquid adhesion promoter prior to putting down any tape or dual-lock Velcro, but this was a great way to attach them! Thanks again!

The Louvers I have have a kind of “lip” and not enough width on the sides for a strip of velcro. Do you think using the plates and putting the Velcro directly on them would work? Or would it not sit flush to the window...?

The other trick is too . Put the glass part on Oliver site and then peal of the tape and lay it down on the window correctly. I would suggest doing it with two people, when you place it down on the window. The cut the bolt top off and JB weld the washer and fender together and then put Velcro on the louver .and on the bottom side of the fender washer. so then it mimics like it’s actually mounted with the hardware . And in reality the hardware is JB welded to each other. and Velcro to the louver system.

I found a better much better idea to make them stick on the window. Because mine would not stick on the right side even with 3M tape. I purchase some wide velcro industrial stick. And they worked like a charm. It's even waterproof.

4 years later, how has it held up? Is it still solid? Thinking about putting louvers on my challenger, but hesitant because I don't feel like creating a pop-off road hazard lol
