2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country | Best SUV Alternative?

The 2023 Volvo V60 Cross Country comes in one engine spec now, the B5 AWD, which puts out 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque from a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The V60 Cross Country is a great vehicle to consider if you don't want an SUV but still want the practicality of space.

What do you choose? The Audi A4 Allroad, Subaru Outback or the Volvo V60 Cross Country?

I would choose the Volvo V60 CC. It’s a mature and very sophisticated car. The engineering, style and safety sells me. Great video btw.

When we do a family road trip we always pick our V60 Cross Country over the Acura Suv. Best seats and ride. Wagon ❤️ Glad to see they are phazing out duel turbo, supercharged options. Missing the built-in rear kids boosters those were super practical.

I've had '20 XC60 D4 for 3 years and now I'm switching to V60 CC in exactly the same specification as this (minus wheels, I have 18-inch). I hope I won't be disappointed, because I enjoyed every minute spent in my XC60 :)

I have a Subaru Outback Limited. I also have young children. It's the perfect amount of luxury and at its much cheaper price point, you don't get too fussed about the mess the kids make. Great review, keep them coming!!

I love the wagon, but it is too much expensive, especially in Canada. You cannot see many V60s on Toronto street.

Our first Volvo was a 1new 980 245DL 4 sp OD...that lead to a 2005 V50 T5 AWD. After that was leased 2014 BMW 328xi which proceeded our current 2015.5 V60 CC. That was that last version (here in the U.S. anyway) of Volvo venerable I-5 Turbo engines. I've driven newer Volvos with their Turbo/Supercharged I4 engines....which now are just turbocharged. I hope our V60 CC lasts for many years as I much prefer the turbo I-5 and hate the new infotainment screen trend of burying controls within multi-layer touchscreens...(not just Volvo either). Nice balanced review..thank you!

Near the end you complained about the buttons for interior environment (heated seats, etc.). I do all this easily through voice commands on my '17 V90cc. Does the 2023 v60cc not have voice commands for controlling cabin temp, heated seats, etc.??? (I've come to realize that many reviewers ignore voice commands all together.)

Really like your reviews. Its funny complaining about wireless charging, I wouldn't buy a car to charge my phone or worry about the usual set and forget stuff like temperatures, mine is set on 24 and hardly ever change it. But I really like your reviews as you mention the important stuff like how quiet, ride, comfort of the seats etc.

So far, wired charging just works better, so not having wireless is no big deal

Subaru in a country with winter 6 months a year and not offering a fueldriven heater, no way! I love my Volvo with Volvo On Call to start the heater when winter comes. Audi has this too, even bought the company who invented the VOC from Volvo i've read.

Has the Subaru still the screaming CVT gearbox? And the Subaru is so utterly uggly!

I have the 2020 V60CC. Love it. The infotainment is very slow to start, even slower than the upgraded 2023 version. Ergonomics are very good. The buttons make sense after you get used to them. I think wireless charging was offered in 2021 or 22. They dropped it for 2023. I guess it was very unreliable and took away storage space. I don’t miss it. You didn’t comment on the B&W sound system. It is fantastic! Very expensive, but worth it. I also think the design language and exterior styling is the best in class.

I see a lot of comments w people not understanding the pricing. You won't understand why these cars are pricey until you have a crash with them

Good review.
Mike -PLEASE don’t blurry the images on your review like you did on a couple of previous vids. That loses you mad street cred bruh!

Volvo V60 CC for Europe has wireless charging... why USA model doesn't have it? Can't tell. I ordered V60 CC B5 Ultimate + few options this week. Audi A4 Allroad is too small inside, and C-class Allterain is too plastic inside for me. In V60 you see what are paying for.

I get new cars are expensive etc .. my car was.. but these days when every1 is feeling the pinch, cars are even more expensive!!! ... I can only see cars possible going into administration at some point 🤔 plus the 340i touring is the same sort of price 😜

You forgot to tell about the new drivers display

yep Volvo builds nice premium cars, unfortunately they are very expensive in Europe and maybe thats why they don´t sell much cars here.

The choices at $72, 000. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Hate how the cross country/allroad/outback models butcher the wagon design. Not as bad as a suv but still 😮‍💨
