May I just say that this tutorial is so clever and mind blowing! I have been sitting at my cutting table wishing I had weights to hold my pattern in place. When I looked into the cost of manufactured weights, I was stunned. The price for just four weights is too much for my pocketbook. I thank you, thank you, thank you for this marvelous idea. I have everything to start making my own weights right here in my craft room. Thank you for sharing this idea on YouTube.

I made them 1/2 the size to and used fishtank stones instead of rice since I had it on hand! (No worries or mice lol) and I also throw 4 in my D&D bag to hold down out map since it likes to curl! The stones male it safe if we get it wet becuase we use wet erase markers!

Smal beads, pebbles or anything that is not good or sand.
Rice is a terrible filler sand is a nightmare.
