The 2 point conversion thing would be great but I think it’d work better if it was 5-10 yards out

Just do the alternating 2pt conversions. That way each switch is only 1 play, reducing chances of injury and exhaustion. Even if you go 7 OTs, that is a total of 14 plays, which is between 1-2 average drives. It is ridiculous to allow professional teams to end in a tie.... it is embarrassing.

Just let them play until somebody scores but make sure both teams touch the ball in overtime. MLB and NBA must have a winner.. As a fan in the stands I would not want to cheer, sit for 3 to 3 1/2 hrs to settle for a tie.
