Silva Dodged That Spinning Back Fist Like A

Silva wants no part of it and Jones has said in the past that he would fight Silva, its clear who would win based on that alone.

It warms my heart that Silva's fans are forced to defend his victory. He had the talent and the training to finish this fight clean, but he consciously decided to put his fans in the position of overlooking his offenses. I dropped his ass after Abu Dhabi.

He mainly stuffed that takedown by getting underhooks in my opinion, grabbing the shorts helped him a bit but getting underneath Sonnen really helped him stuff it. Considering he stuffed the next one with ease without grabbing the shorts after Sonnen caught the kick, he didn't seem desperate, he was just defending the takedowns really well.

I wish Silva would have won like a man....the best hits he got first were when he was holding onto Sonnen's shorts and when he kneed him in the face while he was sitting down

My wife and I were debating last night who would win that fight. Judging from Silva's response at the post fight press conference, we will never know.

He should have never threw that spinning back fist. But silva was filled with anger. So will never know.

If you watch the post-fight presser you can see that Sonnen held him back, and those 2 punches didn't affected so much in Sonnen's performance.

Look at the way Anderson ducks that spinning elbow/fist. He see's it coming, like he read Chael's mind. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Sonnen 2 win, but that was an incredible move from Silva. The guy is not human

If you watch closely Chael was hurt waay before that knee, he was actually hurt with a couple of punches before being finished with that knee and right hand. he was buzzed and out of it when he tried the spinning why he fell after the elbow attempt. Silva landed some glancing punches that started that whole sequence.

I agree Sonnen showed more class than ever after this loss, but you need to check the replay, the knee was perfectly legal, Dana even said so in the post fight press conference.

The "couch potatoes" part was f'n awesome dude, i'm laughing hard now.

I've watched the replay over and over and I can confirm what Dana White said in the post fight press conference. There was NO illegal knee. I thought it was too when watching the fight live so I downloaded it and you can clearly see in the replay it was a knee to the chest.

If you've been in combat sports 10 years then you know that it doesn't matter if one or fifty shots land squarely, when a fighter stops defending themselves the ref has to jump in.
