Your last point about giving the connection time to develop is great. In my dating, I see women don't give it any time, they feel if fireworks are not going off after the first date your are out (the guy). I think guys are more flexible regarding this point.

I know i need to work on myself:

I have to slim off some pounds, especially my love handles and man boobs.

I can’t do anything about my ears, which look like open car doors, short of getting them pinned back.

I don’t have the strongest jawline….nothing i can do about that.

And my hair is starting to fall out around my crown.
