Abigail Elphick's COVID-era Victoria's Secret meltdown was seen around the world, but as more facts and context comes in, the situation proves to be more complicated. Ana Kasparian discusses on The Young Turks.

"It began with a Covid-era tussle over social distancing at a New Jersey shopping mall known for its high-end stores.

Ijeoma Ukenta had gone there to use a coupon for a free pair of Victoria’s Secret underwear. Another shopper, Abigail Elphick, got too close, Ms. Ukenta said, leading her to ask the woman to move six feet away."

Are you supposed to forget she lied and said she was threatened because she was to close to that lady because she has issues

So we’ve forgotten that she told the cashier the woman assaulted her then fled the scene? She knew what she was doing and now feel sorry for her?

But one must remember the woman deliberately went to a store employee and deliberately LIED about another store customer who was being slandered and chased around the store by another customer and needed help to save her from another yelling screaming customer all because she asked the now screaming customer to not be so close in a situation of a pandemic

So firstly, a person with mental handicaps can still be racist.
Second, she still tried to hit this woman.
Third, she was coherent/functioning enough to call the police on this black woman.
So no I don't feel bad.

“I have a disability, and have to live with the consequences of my actions of assaulting someone. Therefore, I will sue the victim. “

So, she lied to the clerk about being threatened after being asked to keep her distance from someone and THEN has a "melt down" because she's being recorded. If she is that mentally ill and anxious, then she shouldn't be allowed to go out alone.

My mental health issues aren’t my fault but they are my responsibility.

Wait she has developmental issues, yet she has the mental capacity to provide the basis for a counter-suit? But she cant prevent herself from freaking out in a store when she gets filmed. Naw sorry she freaked cause she knew she was in possible trouble. She knew she did wrong.

Why did she lie and say the black lady was threatening her. You're still not seeing the whole picture.

1- So she lied when she told the employee that the other woman threatened her.
2- She tried to hit the woman numerous times.
3- Even when the woman put distance & displays between them she still ran at her & chased her around the store.
4- She then performed the most gentle faint to the floor & proceeded to have a tantrum.
5- Security took forever to arrive & quickly sided with the aggressor & the police did the same.
6- Police wanted to black woman to leave the mall, but she was the one being attacked.
7- Blaming the victim for escalating the situation because she kept filming is ridiculous. It's a good thing she kept filming otherwise she may have left in handcuffs. She made sure she had proof & was within her rights recording the incident.
No one should be threatened with rape or death & I'm sorry that happened. I'm sorry if you suffer from mental issues, but don't put your hands on other people or chase them around. It seems she's not sorry about her behavior or actions, just that she might face some consequences for them. My sympathy is 100% with the woman being chased & attacked.

0:15 This woman was literally attacked. HOW, in the name of all things holy, is there no justice?? I have severe social anxiety, depression, and am bi-polar - mental illness is NO excuse for acting like this! If her handlers or family knew she had this many screws loose, then WHY was she out there alone?! Stop making excuses for this behavior. Shame on you.

NO... how could you feel bad for her? She lied to the police. If she can't handle going out in the public and behave like an adult then she needs to stay home. No one should feel bad for her

Once you attack someone so you don't have to face consequences for your actions, you lose the high ground. If she was so concerned initially, she wouldn't have made a false claim of a threat and she wouldn't have attacked Ukenta.

If her anxiety is so bad she can shop online and not alienate anybody else.
It’s not society’s job to cater to her because she can’t handle being outside with the rest of us. There was nothing about this situation that was normal. Why go tattle when someone asks you to keep your distance and then have a meltdown? She escalated the whole situation.

I have a panic disorder, that doesn't excuse this type of behavior. She needs to get more help or get locked up.

Mental illness or not. No excuse to assault anyone. If your medical condition, prevents you from conducting yourself appropriately in society. Then those folks need to be institualized and monitored.
