Why Couldn't Darth Vader Heal His Injuries?

After Darth Vader's defeat on Mustafar, he suffered with lifelong injuries that caused him constant pain, but why didn't he ever heal his injuries?

Because Anakin was a Jedi, he didn't get paid in cash. That meant he had to use the HMO insurance plan. If he would have joined the Empire sooner, he could have afforded the PPO option and would have received better medical care. Insurance companies are the same today here as they were a long, long time in a galaxy far, far away.

His injuries were not just on the surface. He had complete internal organ failure. His lungs basically did not work anymore. And most of his guts were gone.

To heal injuries like he had would essentially be creating new life. The man had no lungs, and very severe other injuries. He's basically have to be able to use the Force to create new organs and such. If you could do that, you could essentially create life, and no Force user of those times could do that, ever. Palpatine lied about being able to do it, but nobody could.

Here's the thing. Vader is in a semi-permanent state of psychosis. The constant pain, the betrayal from all sides, the guilt, and his inability to sleep for 20 years all point to Vader being a psychotic break. Currently, Vader is in a state of emotional overload, as he has to deal with both physical and emotional pain, both of which are being amplified by the Dark Side. If Vader was ever able to remove his physical pain, he may actually have a chance to move past his mental traumas. He wouldn't come out the other side being the Anakin we knew before. He would seem much colder in a lot of ways, but SOME form of Anakin Skywalker would eventually step out of the burning wreck that is Darth Vader. Less murder-y but still capable of becoming the monster when need be.

I think if he was able to complete the healing process he would have been an equal if not greater power than what the emperor was and I believe the emperor knew this

Because JJ Abrams totally pulled Force healing out of his butt for Rise of Skywalker. It was never a force Power

Being that injured seems like a disaster if you're a dark side user. Given it already corrupts your body. Im willing to bet he heals alot more if he never turned.

honestly i think that means that the lava thing really turned him fully into vader. i think if he was still in prime condition he would have quickly turned on palpatine

I always wondered why Vader looked the way he did under his mask after it was removed in return of the Jedi film; unlike what he looked like when he was burnt by the lava on that planet in rise of sith movie🤔.

Nutshell: The Force does not mean you have healing powers. It's not DND and rolling a D6!

In general regeneration seems to be impossible with the force. Mind you, Vader has healed. The healing process is complete. If I remove your eye the wound will heal, if I burn your hand the wound will heal, but what you get back will not be the original product. The light side is admittedly better at it. It could have helped Vader get off his suit but he no longer has access to it in any manner. The Dark side however is downright perfect in unnaturally extending life. This is why Vader survived. Also, in legends, he could focus his hatred tp unnaturally restore his lungs etc. But the joy it brought him ruined the effect. He could keep it on for minutes. He concluded that happiness poisons the dark side. There are more esoteric methods that could have healed him but that is not where Vader's talents lay. It doesn't help that he lost so much power due to being mentally broken. The emperor was not going to spoon feed it to him that's for sure

He should have just periodically kept healing himself even if Its little by little.

Doesn't quite add up. I remember hearing about how Sith used the Force to extend their lives and cheat death. The Force actively hated that in some cases, as I recall. Yet here, Vader uses the Dark Side to heal, and when he's HAPPY about it working, suddenly it doesn't?
