The Most Isolated Place on Earth

Bouvet Island is the most remote island on Earth. On 2 April 1964, the Royal Navy’s Antarctic ice vessel HMS Protector was sent to Bouvet Island. Lt. Commander Allan Crawford and his team landed via helicopter and began checking out the landscape. There, Crawford saw a lagoon with a very strange feature — an abandoned lifeboat.

Imagine your ship is sinking, you hop to your lifeboat hoping you will get the nearest land to safety, instead you ended stranded in Bouvet Island which is only consist of rock and ice, i rather commit suicide.

It's not like any castaway movie where protagonist ended on uninhabited tropical Island with plenty of food and resources to survive until the rescue comes.

Would be really cool if they planted “Christmas trees” on the island, if people crash and end up there they would at least have some wood and cover lol and wood can be used for everything ;) from fire to fishing poles, spears, etc..

You think it was hard to escape from Alcatraz? Try escaping from Bouvet Island! There isn't even a need for prison guards. How would you get off the island? They drop you off with a year's worth of food. A year later, they drop off more food! 😂😂😂

1:35 .. The Abandoned Boat on Bouvet Island, a Mystery No More - A party from the Soviet Antarctic Whaling Fleet vessel “Slava-9” landed by boat on Bouvet Island close to Cape Circumcision Nov. 27, 1958, after manhandling the boat into the lagoon where they reasoned it would be sheltered from high seas, they found they couldn’t leave because of worsened weather, when the storm finally subsided they were evacuated by Mi-1Mi helicopter from the Slava-9 piloted by Averyan Rzhevskiy on Nov. 29, abandoning the boat in situ. Compiled from a number of websites accessed on Google.
