I just got the Baleno and it’s very similar to the Starlet. I like the ride quality, i do wish the quality of the interior was better. Lots of hard plastic but considering the price and value it provides, the Baleno and Starlet are a good purchase.

Nice love the car, I'm actually thinking of going for the renault kiger but the starlet just makes perfect sense.

Thanx for the review, its well done. Just to add. The Starlet does come with an option to increase the warranty from 3years to 6 or 8 years unlimited kilometres. With the Starlet, i do think you get your money back vs the Baleno

I currently have one of these, impressed!A few features that could be better would be auto lock when you move off, i have to manually lock car every time im inside(unless its a setting im not finding?) also mine only displays Km/Liters id like the option to see more options like KM/100L etc under consumption.

I love your review. Would you advise someone/starter to use it for online taxi services?

I recently bought a starlet and it was in for repairs. The entry button to unlock on the drivers and passengers side does this also lock the car? I have the 2023 model

Is the petrol efficiency different between an auto and manual?

Starlet wasn't started in 2020, it has been around for quite long. I think Toyota discontinued it and bring it back again!

Starlet is a Baleno. Toyota gets direct from Suzuki. 100% the same except for cosmetically different front bumper and wheels.

I got 22.8km per liter on a 160km round-trip last weekend for the manual version.

Claimed is 5.4L per 100km which is 18.5km/l

Average currently on 16km/l average for mostly town driving

Way better value for money than Starlet. 5 year 200 000 km warranty and 4 year 60 000km service plan
