I'm 70 years old and I love you two. You allow me to see things and gain knowledge of those places I would never be able to otherwise. You are making my final years much happier. I have no family except my dogs and your adventures are adding a source of so much pleasure to my life. God Bless You and thank you.

So, here's my take, as a Scotsman who's been fascinated with the Sawney Bean story his whole life. The general consensus amongst historians is that the story was probably fabricated by the English monarchy as a form of propaganda against the Scots to paint us as feral savages. It's worth noting that at the time, "sawney" was a fairly insulting nickname for Scots. In my opinion, if Alexander Bean ever did exist, he was probably just a hermit who used the caves for shelter and robbed passing travellers to survive. He maybe killed a couple to cover his tracks, and the brutality of these attacks gained him a good deal of infamy. But everything else, the inbreeding, the cannibalism, that's probably all been embellished over the centuries like a game of historic Chinese whispers. But he'll always be real in my heart ♥

I just feel like I need to point out how you two are just such an inspiration, you genuinely go the extra mile to make sure everyone is being safe every step of the way if fans do want to explore this for themselves.

I truly love this.

Jessica’s face in the beginning of the video said it all. “It’s too early for this sh*t” 😂

I would like to add something: NEVER underestimate the danger of the tide in Scotland, and ALWAYS wear a helmet if you stand near or under cliffs, ESPECIALLY if you go into caves. Scottish caves are very prone to rockfall and collapse due to heavy erosion, and the rocks are often slimy and very slippery underfoot. Also, ALWAYS tell someone else where you are going and at what time. If nobody knows you are missing, nobody will come look for you.

Please take care out there everyone. Scotland is a wild and temperamental landscape that kills frequently and unsympathetically.

Great video BTW guys, would love to bump into you in the highlands soon ;)

I absolutely love how down-to-earth you two are. I'm in my 60s now and my dad is the one who encouraged my love of horror, paranormal, cryptozoology, and science fiction because he loved these things too. Every time I watch one of your videos it's like sitting down and having a conversation with family, that's how open and laid back you are. I love the details you share and all the time you put into research - and most definitely how your personalities shine through.

Being Scottish myself I've grown up hearing about this legend. But to see the scenery and caves brings it to life. Kudos for actually going into the caves....and it's really creepy!!Amazing to see a couple from LA doing

Got to love Scottish folk lore, you must have had a great time here! This is why i love where i live as we have so many stories and myths that people dont know if they are real or fake, i have to say though the Sawney Bean cave is creepy as hell and i fully believe it happened despite people proclaiming it didnt....

After watching your video yesterday I decided to do some additional reading up on Sawney Bean. At work today, I brought up the legend relaying it to some co-workers. I held their attention as I relayed the legend to them and in the end told them how this story was the inspiration for the movie, "The Hills Have Eyes." When asked how I heard about this, I referred them to your channel. Though I am a subscriber, I feel I may have given you a few more subscribers. They were not aware of your work but I've been told that they looked your channel up and subscribed as well. I wish you both the best and thank you for your time and dedication. --Steve

The giant boulder blocking the cave entrance resembles a skull from a distance. Very fitting. Love it.
