What is the best crock pot or slow cooker to buy?

I would not use any cooking item with Teflon as we know that it is unsafe especially after they are scratched inside.

A good way to use the manual one is you can put a timer on it. I find the manual one better myself. I agree with the comment that Teflon is dangerous to ones health so the ceramic is a must.

I have a crock pot book called " Fix-It and Forget-It 5-Ingredient favorites " by Phyillis Pellman Good. Love this book. She has several books but I like this one the best.

From my experience if you ask someone about it, they would not even know what it is or muchless how to use.

Always manual!!
If there is no electricity, the manual one starts again, the digital one, if it does not have a backup battery, turns off and no longer cooks.
