This pairing of Rachel and George works really well. They have the same playful humor and spark off each other. It is a joy to watch.

I started to work Walgreens as a side hustle. I thought I wouldn’t spend money there. However as I understood how the rewards system, printed coupons and Walgreens app/digital coupons worked, and throw in my employee discount, i definitely struggled for a couple months to not take advantage of it all. I tear up my coupons right away and rarely go on the app now. BACK ON TRACK with my goals!!!!

Or, or, you could cook your own food and brew your coffee and _actually_ save money! Just a thought!

Rachel can you bring on Christina? I feel she is somewhat quiet on the Ramsey show, would love to see her open up!

I like this content…..but I do kind of think the mentality behind using these reward programs is too similar to credit cards for you guys to stay consistent about your message. It’s dangerous promotion territory for you imo…Just my $0.02. Cheers

How can they be for loyalty programs, but against credit card rewards? Seems the same to me.

You guys are so funny :-)
Personally, I hate all reward programs:the amount of work it takes to sign up, keep track of your online passwords, buy a backpack to lug around all your hundreds of reward cards or buy a new phone that can handle hundreds of apps, the time to calculate points versus reward, it adds much extra stress and feels like I'm working for these companies for free - they are the ones profiting!. Also there is the issue of privacy and data harvesting. Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where there are no reward programs at all and stores would give you a great deal just for shopping there?

I guess it comes down to whether the “rewards” you get outweigh the fact that the companies make $$$ selling your personal information.

I used to work at Kroger at the Fuel Center. The points system is design to customers to spend more money. The more money you spend, the more points you get, the more points you get, the more money you “save” at the pump. You would only save a few cents at the pump. It is a ripoff.

Great video, and I agree with their suggestions. The one caveat is that I have found some of these programs (like Chipotle) will occasionally give free rewards or coupons (i.e. we miss you! free chips and salsa!) I don't eat out much, but between these freebies and birthday rewards, I find I still get some rewards without visiting and spending too much.

No comment on programs like Fetch Rewards or that fuel one being advertised. Anyone else use these? Being from OK, I love my whataburger program ...

I hate that I can't just go to a store and buy something without being harassed about loyalty/rewards programs.

I love Biggby Coffee and McDonald's rewards programs. I do use my credit card program. But we're debt free and always pay it off right away. We use the points for restaurant giftcards and that's how we pay for date nights. The credit card is paying us. Talk about sticking it to the man!
