The first thing I thought when I saw this, is how cool would it be in recreating a dream you vaguely remember? Sometimes I love trying to explain a dream, just imagine.... you could literally make your dreams come to life in front of your eyes.

I’ve been a sole practitioner in the UK for over 13 years. This tool is interesting but it’s solving the wrong problem. Coming up with ideas is the easy part, getting through the hours of compliance and drafting is the hard part. Where I work, Architects do not get paid for ideas, we get paid for implementation. If the AI could generate detailed planning, technical, regulatory and construction drawings it would be a tremendously useful tool.

As a visualizer who spent his time learning and working with vray to craft nice renders, i think this can be an opportunity like you said for reference images, and also it seems that people will take a design and want to develop and re visualise it after human developpement so i dont think our work is over.. ?

Important correction: ai doesn't search the internet when you ask to generate something. The model is pretrained on a big dataset of images, and every time it creates unique image from scratch.

Guys, truly, you've got no idea. The application of AI extend far beyond arch viz. I'm an architect who pursued self-driven tech education, I currently work as a Big Data Developer. Let me tell you, this kind of stuff is only the beginning, what AI fueled by Big Data and the Internet of Things can do is gonna revolutionize the industry. Endless possibilities. The idea is simple, we as humans have been building for hundreds of years now, buildings and blueprints are data (BIG DATA), we just need to collect the data in such a way to able to input it into a machine learning model and vuala, you've got generative design. In time computers will be able to give us a fully functional desing so we as architects can polish it or further customize it if needed. It will decrease production times tremendously, reducing costs and risks making construction much more sustainable and democratizing housing in developing countries...

Just amazing to see how simple texts can be turned into these kinds of images. You could also use these prompts on other image generators too! Especially those which are free like Bluewillow. In addition to that, you could add some texture or specific styles to create even better images or renders.

Correction: 8:16 I believe that if you opt to make your creations private (paying an additional $20/mo) then they will not be accessible by anyone other than yourself and will not appear in the community feed according to their literature. Copyright will be a huge can of worms for this technology.

Used as a quick off idea is definitely a way to go at it, anyways AI have been here for years, photoshop AI selection, it will select your focused subject but this is where you come and refine the subject, so no AI will never replace human nor replace our jobs as content creators, yes it will give you a very big heads start but never replace in any way !

That's Crazy 😱 we'd never imagined that AI can produce such art. even though it will not replace artist in general now everyone can be an artist and any artist can be driven by AI. The possibilities here are endless

Never heard of it before, but just tried and it's a lot of fun! :D I don't think that it will has any impact to our architectural world, but it will surely become a big think in general art. People will go to AI-exhibitions and they will be stunned by the choice of keywords the artist was using to get the image created. "wow! look at that. He used latin medical terms only to create a collection of landscape portraits. that's genious!" something like that :D

I tried Midjourney a few days ago and it is totally amazing. The idea AI gets used in such a way fascinates me, probably we'll see more cool stuff like this in the future as AI gets better day by day. MidJ, Dall-E, Imegan, and other Generative systems will help us as a source of inspiration and concept creation..
