I’m 48. I’m impressed you give it to him and he wraps it. Now my husband asks me a week before my birthday if I want something and I tell him, “You don’t have to go get me anything - I already got it.” Then he kind of gets this concerned look cause whatever I got is probably pretty valuable. This year it’s the VIP tickets to see Stone Temple Pilots. I’ve been waiting for over 30 years to see them as I didn’t get to as a college student. They finally have a great lead singer once again. I too forgot how old I was for a year or 2. Love this skit.

My mom does the same thing. Every holiday she orders her own gift then pretends that she doesn't remember what it is. We wrap it. Less than a week before said holiday she decides she wants something different 😄We always get a surprise gift and then it's up to her if she likes either one. We love her, she loves us...We've done our best 🤗

Last year, my husband was walking through the living room carrying something. I asked him, “What is that?” His answer, “Your birthday gift to me. I bought it yesterday.”
Whew, shopping done! 😅

I forgot what year I was born. I put the wrong year on some official documents and had to go through a whole thing. So that was fun 😂 I buy my own gifts and just tell my husband what he got me. The last time he tried to pick stuff out I got extension cords and a pair of poultry shears for the kitchen. I don’t touch raw chicken so not sure what he was thinking.
