Driving lessons Leicester how to approach a mini roundabout and priorities.

A mini roundabout works the same way as a normal roundabout. Priority is still to the right. What people often find difficult is that the exits are close to each other and get confused about priorities.

First on approach, we would check our mirrors early then we would plan the approach as I've talked through in these videos. Always be aware than although the right has priority that sometimes people on the left may pull out as you're approaching so you need to be aware of this and ready to react accordingly. As you'll notice, this happened on one of the clips here but as I anticipated it, there was no need for any sudden braking and the traffic still flowed from each direction.

Ideally you want to time your approach to the roundabout to get there either before , after or in between cars approaching from the right. This way you will avoid having to stop when you get there and lose momentum.
