SimpliSafe Key Fob Battery Replacement - EASY DIY

Показать описание

Here is the fob for the SimpliSafe fob. SimpliSafe says the battery isn't replaceable but it actually is. You will need a replacement 2032 battery and a slim but strong screwdriver. You want to be very careful when you're cracking the sides open. The internal tabs in there are extremely delicate. The battery will go with the (+) side facing away from the buttons. There is also a little coil/spring in there. You want to make sure that is pressed up against the (-) negative side of the coin battery. Clip is back together and you're all set! Hope that was helpful!

Your video is fantastic!! I am 77 years young and you helped me save $30.00 by following your video. Took me a while but I did it and it works great!! Thank you so, so much!!

Great, simple instructions. Lighting was great considering everything is black. I couldn’t see the spring in the video but it was obvious when I opened the fob. I needed tweezers to remove the old battery but the new one slipped right in. It took me longer to fetch a screwdriver, battery and tweezers than it took for the actual replacement!
I also had to delete the fob from SS and reinstall so viewers should keep that in mind if the fob doesn’t work afterward. Mine didn’t but works now.
Thanks for the excellent instructions!

Be sure to pry from the back side of the fabric loop. It's attached to the front side and prying there won't get you anywhere.

thanks for that. I tink you should have said the positive side faces the back of the FOB with the FCC ID, and the negative towards the front with the three buttons and the simply safe branding

Absolutely worked for me! Like others, it took a little to gently get the case open (and I needed small tweezers to get the battery), but these instructions were perfect. Thank you.

This worked beautifully, thank you so much for this content. My fob wasn't working and I didn't want to buy another one and always wondered how the battery could be changed. 😀

Thank you sir! They surely want you to buy another one but all it needs is a replacement battery. They want every little penny out of people.

Looks like a simple explanation to an easy fix. I think I'll wait until the battery in this device is completely dead before I do this, I am prone to Breaking this little object when I try this.

thank you, worked great for me! But I recommend you disable it first because I accidentally set off the panic alarm which I don't understand because there is no panic button
